RideCast

Motorcycle Weather AppIn DevelopmentAndroid only

RideCast checks forecast conditions along your route at the times you expect to be there, then scores the outbound and return legs separately. Instead of a generic city forecast, you get a clear ride recommendation and the weather risks behind it.

RideCast's home dashboard: a 90/Excellent score, a "Ride with caution" recommendation, and separately scored departure and return legs with the return marked as the weakest leg.
The problem

A generic weather app gives you the weather for a place. It doesn’t know your route, or when you’ll actually be on it.

RideCast evaluates conditions along your actual route instead of one city-wide snapshot, and considers your outbound and return legs separately, then gives you a ride recommendation with the reasons behind it.

How it works

Set your route and commute times once. RideCast checks the forecast along the route based on when you expect to reach each point, evaluates both legs of the commute and gives you a ride recommendation with the conditions behind it.

Two separate numbers, on purpose

Score & category

A 0 to 100 score and a category (Excellent, Good, Marginal, Poor, or No-Ride) reflecting conditions across your whole commute.

Ride recommendation

A separate, plain-language recommendation (Bike, Bike with Caution, or Do Not Ride) with two to four specific reasons behind it.

These are deliberately two different outputs, not one go/no-go switch. RideCast helps you make an informed call from the forecast. It doesn’t claim to know whether riding is objectively safe.

What's inside
  • 7-day rolling forecastA day selector across the coming week, each day scored, with per-date overrides if your schedule changes.
  • Departure vs. return breakdownThe Ride Weather screen shows the two legs of your commute scored separately, plus an hour-by-hour timeline of temperature, rain chance, and wind along the route.
  • A route you actually rideAn interactive map of the real routed path between your points, with editable via-points, not a straight line between two pins.
  • Plan a RideScore an ad-hoc trip outside your default commute, the same way, on demand.
  • Bike Day monitoringOpt-in background alerts if conditions along your ride worsen, plus morning and evening brief notifications.

A closer look

Set the route and commute, see conditions across both legs, and get a recommendation with the reasons behind it.

Designed for informed decisions

Your whole journey, not one snapshot

Conditions are evaluated across your route, not just a single city-wide forecast for wherever you happen to be standing.

Reasons, not just a verdict

Every recommendation comes with plain-language reasons behind it, so you know what drove the call.

Local-first

No account required. Your route, schedule, and settings stay on your device.
